Kane is a village in Greene County, Illinois, United States. The population was 438 at the 2010 census.Kane is located in southern Greene County at 39°11′26″N 90°21′9″W / 39.19056°N 90.35250°W / 39.19056; -90.35250. It is 9 miles south of Carrollton, the county seat, and 6 miles north of Jerseyville.According to the 2010 census, Kane has a total area of 0.54 square miles, all land.As of the census of 2000, there were 459 people, 174 households, and 128 families residing in the village.
